A pro-rape Facebook page, set up by a group of past and present elite Australian college students, has been taken down, but still ran from early August until late October, authorities say. The page had been in the sports and recreation section on Facebook, describing members as "anti-consent."The warden of St Paul's College, Dr. Canon Ivan Head, told the Sydney Morning Herald:
"The college holds all forms of sexual assault, rape or any proven incitement to rape to be abhorrent. It is not a college site, was not a college site and has no standing at all as a college document."New South Wales Minister for Women Linda Burney told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC):
"Putting a page on Facebook encouraging rape is absolutely unacceptable and it does say to us that we have an awful long way to go."The members of the "Define Statutory" group, which was open to all, had proudly displayed their membership on their personal Facebook pages.
