Jackie Kennedy, Robert Kennedy Affair Detailed in New Book

C. David Heymann’s latest book, "Bobby and Jackie: A Love Story," details a four-year relationship between the Jackie Kennedy (later Onassis) and Robert Kennedy. The author states that the affair began approximately six months after JFK's assassination.

According to the publisher's blurb, Heymann "draws on more than two decades' worth of personal interviews, as well as previously unavailable reports and briefs from the Secret Service and the FBI, to create a complete picture of the complex relationship that existed between two of the most heralded figures of the twentieth century." The book also claims that the married senator and father of 11 was the former first lady's one "true love."

The author further states that when RFK was shot, it was Jackie, not his wife, Ethel Kennedy, who instructed doctors to pull the plug.

In the book, the late Franklin Roosevelt Jr., who served as JFK's undersecretary of commerce, says:

"Everybody knew about the affair. The two of them carried on like a pair of lovesick teenagers. I suspect Bobby would've liked to dump Ethel and marry Jackie, but, of course, that wasn't possible."
Heymann has previously written biographies of Jackie O, John F. Kennedy Jr. and Caroline Kennedy. The New York Post has more information about the affair, here.

Note how the cover of the book tries to link to the NY Times ("NYT bestselling author"), when it's actually the crap-ridden Post that's behind it.

More Republican sleight-of-hand, when they're at their MOST DESPERATE.

People, please! Can't we just let these people die? Joe Kennedy's boys are all gone now. None of the grand children show the potential for drama that there forefathers did. Just let them die!
