Jesse Jackson Apologizes for Crude Comment About Castrating Obama

Bill O'Reilly was all over this. What a broad smile he had during his show tonight. Why?

A Fox News microphone picked up comments Jackson meant to deliver privately. These comments were pretty, well ... you decide.

See, Barack been ... um ... talking down to black people on this faith-based ... I wanna cut his nuts off. Barack ... he's talking down to black people.
Jackson issued an apology to Obama, saying to CNN:
For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize. My support for Senator Obama’s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment.

This ridiculous, Jackson said what he believe and criticized Obama. His comment is nothing but heartfelt one and he shouldn't be compelled to apologize. Jackson diminished his status as one of the leaders within the black communities by backing down on his true statement.

I have read several articles about Jackson's comments and I still don't know what caused him to decide that Obama was "talking down to black people." I think that's the real core of the issue, not whether he swore at Obama. Jackson is obviously jealous that a part white guy can get away with possibly winning the presidency when he couldn't in his time back in the 80's. But what exactly he considered condescending is of great interest to me. It is probably representative of what many blacks think today, even some young ones.
